Izumo Kokubun-ji was established in the 8th century as one of the official provincial temples of Izumo Province. Though the original structures have largely disappeared, the temple grounds retain a serene atmosphere with a reconstructed Main Hall, a peaceful Japanese garden, and stone foundations of ancient pagodas. Visitors can explore the temple's history through informative panels and enjoy the seasonal beauty of cherry blossoms and autumn leaves in the surrounding grove.

- Admire the elegant Main Hall reconstructed in traditional architectural style.
- Stroll through the moss-covered garden with a pond and stone lanterns.
