Takadachi Gikeidō is a memorial hall and historic site perched on a hill overlooking the Kitakami River, commemorating the tragic end of the famed samurai Minamoto no Yoshitsune. According to legend, Yoshitsune and his loyal retainers met their demise here after being betrayed by his brother. The hall displays artifacts and dioramas depicting his life and the Genpei War, while the surrounding grounds offer sweeping views of the Hiraizumi basin.
