Kinkeizan is a low mountain (about 200 meters) offering accessible hiking trails and rewarding vistas over Hiraizumi's temples and the Kitakami River valley. The gentle climb passes through forested slopes, with several lookout points along the way. At the summit, visitors are treated to a 360-degree view that encompasses the World Heritage sites of Chūson-ji and Mōtsū-ji. It's a favorite spot for photographers and nature lovers, especially during cherry blossom season and autumn colors.
