Sengokuhara is a highland area in Hakone, sitting at about 600 meters elevation. It is famous for its vast fields of silver grass (susuki) that sway in the breeze from late September through November, creating a golden landscape. The area also houses several art museums, including the Hakone Open-Air Museum and the Pola Museum of Art.
