Nakafurano is a small agricultural town located in the Sorachi Subprefecture of Hokkaido, about 10 kilometers north of Furano City. It is famous for its vast lavender fields, particularly at Farm Tomita and the Lavender East park. The town's gentle slopes are covered in lavender, sunflowers, and other seasonal flowers from June to August. Beyond the blooms, Nakafurano offers a glimpse of rural Hokkaido life with dairy farms, melon patches, and scenic cycling routes. The town's quiet atmosphere and panoramic views of the Tokachi mountain range make it a favorite for photographers and nature lovers.
