Lavender Farm Station is a temporary train station operated by JR Hokkaido, active from mid-June to mid-October to serve the peak lavender season. Visitors alight here to walk directly into the Farm Tomita lavender fields, where rows of purple blooms stretch toward the Tokachi mountain range. The station itself is a simple wooden platform with a small ticket booth, but its charm lies in the immediate immersion into floral scenery. Many travelers combine a train ride with a stroll through the farm's gardens and a taste of lavender soft-serve ice cream.

Don't miss

  • Step off the train right into Farm Tomita's lavender fields
  • Photograph the iconic view of lavender rows with the Tokachi mountains
