Kamado Shrine, perched on Mount Hōman in Dazaifu, is a historic Shinto shrine dedicated to the deity of fire and the hearth. Visitors climb a steep stone staircase lined with lanterns, passing through a striking vermilion torii gate. The shrine's main hall is nestled among ancient cedar trees, and from the precincts, you can enjoy panoramic views of the Dazaifu plain. The shrine is especially popular during the New Year's fire festival, when large bonfires are lit. Its serene atmosphere and connection to household protection make it a unique spiritual destination.
