The Aomori Bay Bridge is a 1,219-meter-long cable-stayed bridge that gracefully arcs over the bay, connecting the city center to the Aomori Port area. Its distinctive white towers and sweeping cables make it a landmark visible from many points in the city. Pedestrians and cyclists can cross the bridge on a dedicated walkway, enjoying sweeping views of the bay, the Hakkoda Mountains, and the cityscape. The bridge is especially photogenic at sunset when the sky and water glow.
