Vigiljoch is a scenic mountain plateau overlooking Merano, offering a variety of hiking trails suitable for all fitness levels. The summit provides breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding Alps, including the Texel Group and Ortler range. Visitors can reach the top via a cable car from Lana, which makes the ascent easy and enjoyable. Once at the top, well-marked trails wind through alpine meadows and forests, leading to viewpoints and mountain huts where you can sample local cuisine. The area is also popular for mountain biking and paragliding. In summer, wildflowers blanket the slopes, while autumn brings vibrant foliage.
