Steinerner Steg

Steinerner Steg, meaning 'Stone Bridge' in German, is one of Merano's most photographed landmarks. This pedestrian bridge spans the turquoise waters of the Passer River, connecting the old town with the newer districts. Built entirely of stone, its arches and sturdy construction have withstood centuries of floods and changes. Walking across the bridge, you're treated to panoramic views of the medieval arcades, the towering spires of the Duomo, and the rugged peaks of the Texel Group in the distance. The bridge is particularly enchanting at sunset when the warm light illuminates the stone and reflects on the water.
