Life Electric is a striking contemporary sculpture located on the lakefront promenade of Como, near the Volta Temple. Designed by architect Daniel Libeskind, the installation was inaugurated in 2015 to honor Alessandro Volta, the inventor of the electric battery and a native of Como. The sculpture consists of intertwined stainless steel ribbons that rise dynamically, evoking the flow of electrical energy. Its reflective surface catches the light and changes appearance with the weather, creating an ever-evolving visual experience. Positioned against the backdrop of Lake Como and the Alps, Life Electric has become a modern landmark and a popular spot for photos.
