Punta della Dogana is a contemporary art museum housed in a striking triangular building that once served as Venice's customs house (Dogana da Mar). Located at the tip of the Dorsoduro district, where the Grand Canal meets the Giudecca Canal, the building was restored by architect Tadao Ando, who preserved its historic character while adding minimalist concrete and glass elements. The museum is part of the François Pinault Foundation's collection, featuring rotating exhibitions of contemporary art. Visitors can explore vast, open spaces that contrast with the historic fabric, with works by international artists. The museum's location offers stunning views of the Basin of San Marco and the Giudecca. The experience is both architectural and artistic, with the building itself being a highlight.
