Northern Grigna Regional Park (Parco Regionale della Grigna Settentrionale) is a protected natural area in the Lombardy Prealps, offering rugged alpine scenery and extensive hiking opportunities. The park encompasses the Grigna massif, with peaks reaching over 2,400 meters, and features deep valleys, limestone cliffs, and dense forests. Trails range from easy walks to challenging ascents, rewarding hikers with panoramic views of Lake Como and the surrounding mountains. Wildlife includes chamois, eagles, and rare alpine flora. The park is less crowded than the lakefront towns, providing a tranquil escape into nature. Access points include the towns of Mandello del Lario and Abbadia Lariana, from where marked trails lead into the park.
