Parghelia is a picturesque seaside village on the Costa degli Dei, just a few kilometers from Tropea. Its historic center is a maze of narrow alleys lined with whitewashed houses, small piazzas, and ancient churches. The heart of the village is Piazza della Repubblica, where locals gather for an evening passeggiata. Parghelia's main draw is its beautiful beaches, including Spiaggia di Parghelia, a long stretch of golden sand with calm, clear waters ideal for swimming and sunbathing. The beach is backed by cliffs and Mediterranean vegetation, offering a serene escape from busier resorts. Visitors can also explore the nearby Marina di Parghelia, a small harbor with fishing boats and waterfront cafes. The village has a relaxed, authentic atmosphere, with a handful of trattorias serving fresh seafood and local Calabrian specialties. Parghelia is also a great base for exploring Capo Vaticano and the surrounding coastline.
