Perched on a hill 300 meters above sea level, Sant'Agata sui Due Golfi lives up to its name, 'on the two gulfs', by providing sweeping vistas of the Gulf of Naples to the north and the Gulf of Salerno to the south. The village is a serene retreat with a charming central square, the Piazza Sant'Agata, where locals gather. The main attraction is the Deserto, a former Carmelite convent with a terrace that offers one of the most spectacular viewpoints on the peninsula. From here, you can see Sorrento, Vesuvius, Capri, and the Amalfi Coast in a single glance. The village is also known for its excellent restaurants, particularly those serving local specialties like 'ravioli alla Sant'Agata'. Sant'Agata is a popular base for hikers exploring the Monti Lattari range, with trails connecting to Positano and other coastal towns.
