The Santa Fina Chapel is a serene sanctuary inside the Collegiata (Duomo) of San Gimignano, dedicated to the town's patron saint. The chapel is renowned for its exquisite fresco cycle by Domenico Ghirlandaio, painted in 1475, which narrates the life and miracles of Saint Fina (Serafina), a young girl who lived in the 13th century. The frescoes are masterpieces of Renaissance art, showing Ghirlandaio's skill in composition, color, and emotional expression. The chapel also houses the saint's relics in a marble altar. The intimate space, with its soft lighting and detailed frescoes, offers a contemplative experience. Visitors can admire scenes of Fina's piety, her death, and posthumous miracles, all set against Tuscan landscapes.
