Cascate del Varone is a dramatic natural wonder located just a few kilometers from Riva del Garda. The park centers on a powerful waterfall that plunges into a narrow limestone gorge, creating a misty, thunderous spectacle. Visitors follow a path that leads into the gorge itself, with walkways and tunnels that bring you close to the falling water. The upper cascade drops about 98 meters, while the lower cascade falls 85 meters into a deep pool. The surrounding vegetation is lush, with ferns and moss clinging to the rock walls. The experience is immersive, you can feel the spray and hear the roar of the water. The park also includes a botanical garden with local flora and a small museum explaining the geology of the area. It's a refreshing escape, especially on hot summer days.
