Positano cascades down a steep hillside to the Tyrrhenian Sea, its pastel-hued buildings clinging to the cliffs like a vertical rainbow. The heart of the village is the pedestrian-only Via dei Mulini, lined with chic boutiques selling linen clothing, handmade sandals, and local ceramics. Narrow alleys and stairways lead to the main beach, Spiaggia Grande, where you can rent a sunbed or take a boat tour along the coast. The Church of Santa Maria Assunta, with its iconic majolica-tiled dome, houses a Byzantine icon of the Black Madonna. Positano offers a romantic atmosphere, with terraced gardens, lemon groves, and panoramic views from every corner. At sunset, the village glows golden, and the sea sparkles below.
