La Spezia Cathedral, officially named the Cathedral of Christ the King (Cattedrale di Cristo Re), is a modern church built between 1956 and 1975. Designed by architect Adolfo De Carlo, its bold concrete and brick structure dominates the city skyline. Inside, visitors are greeted by a spacious, light-filled nave and notable artworks, including a bronze crucifix and stained glass windows depicting saints. The cathedral's elevated position offers sweeping views over the rooftops of La Spezia and the Gulf. It serves as the city's main place of worship and a symbol of post-war reconstruction.
