Punta Palascia Lighthouse, also known as Capo d'Otranto Lighthouse, marks the easternmost tip of the Italian mainland. Built in 1867, the lighthouse stands 32 meters tall and still guides ships today. Visitors can climb to the top for panoramic views of the Adriatic and, on clear days, see the coast of Albania. The surrounding area features rugged cliffs and clear waters, perfect for photography. The lighthouse is part of a protected natural area, making it a peaceful spot to enjoy the sea breeze.

Don't miss

  • Climb the lighthouse for 360-degree views of the Adriatic Sea and Albanian coast.
  • Photograph the dramatic cliffs and turquoise waters at sunrise.
  • Visit the small museum inside the lighthouse about maritime navigation.
