The Giants' grave of Su Mont'e s'Abe is one of Sardinia's most impressive prehistoric monuments. Dating to the Nuragic civilization (around 1800–1200 BCE), these collective tombs were built as large stone structures resembling a bull's head. The site features a long rectangular chamber (the 'gallery') covered by earth, with a semicircular forecourt marked by upright stones. Visitors can walk around the well-preserved remains, imagining the rituals that once took place here. The setting is rural and quiet, offering a direct connection to the island's ancient past.

Don't miss

  • The massive stone stele at the entrance, characteristic of giants' graves
  • The elongated burial chamber lined with stone slabs
  • The curved exedra (forecourt) where ceremonies were held
  • Panoramic views of the surrounding countryside
