Giardini Pubblici Indro Montanelli, often simply called the Public Gardens, is Milan's oldest and most beloved park. Located near the Porta Venezia area, this expansive green space offers a peaceful escape from the city's urban energy. The park is home to several cultural attractions: the Civic Planetarium, one of Italy's largest; the Natural History Museum, with fascinating dinosaur skeletons and dioramas; and the Civic Aquarium, housed in a beautiful Liberty-style building. The park itself features tree-lined avenues, a small lake with ducks, playgrounds, and plenty of benches for relaxation. It's a favorite spot for families, joggers, and students. The mix of nature and culture makes it unique, you can spend an hour at the museum, then stroll through the gardens. The park is especially lovely in spring when the flowers bloom, and in autumn when the leaves turn golden. For a leisurely afternoon, bring a book or a picnic and enjoy the serene atmosphere.
