Villa del Balbianello is one of Lake Como's most iconic villas, perched on a wooded peninsula near the town of Lenno. The villa is known for its stunning terraced gardens that cascade down to the lake, offering panoramic views. Inside, the rooms are filled with antique furniture, books, and artifacts collected by the villa's last owner, Guido Monzino, an Italian explorer. The villa gained fame as a filming location for 'Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones' (where it served as the lakeside retreat of Padmé Amidala) and 'Casino Royale' (James Bond's villa). Visitors arrive by boat or on foot through a scenic woodland path.
