Abbadia Lariana is a serene town on the eastern shore of Lake Como, named after the former abbey of San Pietro. The town's main attraction is the Abbey of San Pietro, a Romanesque church dating back to the 12th century, set on a hill with panoramic lake views. The town also boasts a small sandy beach, one of the few on Lake Como, which is popular for swimming and sunbathing in summer. The historic center features charming stone houses and a relaxed atmosphere. Abbadia Lariana is an excellent base for exploring the lake or hiking in the surrounding hills.
