The Varignano Roman Villa is an important archaeological site located in the Varignano area, just outside La Spezia. Dating back to the 1st century BC, the villa was a luxurious seaside residence with thermal baths, living quarters, and gardens. Excavations have revealed well-preserved mosaics, frescoes, and architectural elements that offer insight into Roman life. Visitors can walk through the ruins and see the remains of the bath complex, including the caldarium and frigidarium. The site is set in a peaceful landscape, adding to its charm.
