Manarola, one of the five jewels of Cinque Terre, captivates visitors with its iconic pastel-colored buildings stacked on a rocky promontory. The village is smaller and quieter than its neighbor Riomaggiore, offering a more intimate experience. Its harbor, a tiny natural inlet, is perfect for swimming and watching fishing boats. The surrounding hillsides are covered with terraced vineyards that produce the local Sciacchetrà wine. A walk along the scenic Lovers' Lane (Via dell'Amore) begins here, and the old town's narrow alleys lead to a charming church square. At sunset, the view from the cemetery promontory is breathtaking, with the village glowing in golden light.
