Lacco Ameno is a charming town on the northern coast of Ischia, Italy. It is famous for its thermal springs, which have been enjoyed since ancient Greek times. The town's center features a lovely seafront promenade, a sandy beach, and the iconic Fungo di Lacco, a mushroom-shaped rock formation just offshore. The main attraction is the Museo Archeologico di Pithecusae, housed in the Villa Arbusto, which displays artifacts from the ancient Greek settlement of Pithecusae, including the famous 'Cup of Nestor' with one of the earliest known Greek inscriptions. Visitors can also relax in thermal parks like Negombo or simply stroll through the narrow streets lined with cafes and boutiques.
