The Musei di Strada Nuova is a museum complex comprising three adjacent 16th-century palaces, Palazzo Rosso, Palazzo Bianco, and Palazzo Doria Tursi, located on Via Garibaldi, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Together they form one of Italy's most important civic art collections. Visitors can explore lavishly decorated rooms with original furnishings, frescoes, and paintings by artists such as Van Dyck, Veronese, and Caravaggio. Palazzo Rosso features a striking red façade and a picture gallery with works from the Ligurian school. Palazzo Bianco specializes in Flemish and Dutch art, while Palazzo Doria Tursi houses a collection of coins, ceramics, and the famous Guarneri del Gesù violin once owned by Paganini. The palaces are connected by internal passages and courtyards, offering a seamless journey through Genoese aristocratic life and art history.

  • Caravaggio's 'Ecce Homo' in Palazzo Bianco
  • Paganini's violin (Guarneri del Gesù) in Palazzo Doria Tursi
