Santissima Annunziata is a major Renaissance church in Florence, known for its serene atmosphere and artistic treasures. The church is part of a larger complex that includes a hospital and a piazza designed by Brunelleschi. Inside, the nave is lined with frescoes by Andrea del Sarto, Pontormo, and Rosso Fiorentino. The church's most revered object is a miraculous painting of the Annunciation in the Cappella della Santissima Annunziata. The adjacent Piazza della Santissima Annunziata is one of Florence's most harmonious squares, featuring the Loggia dei Servi di Maria and a statue of Grand Duke Ferdinando I.
