Cervia Cathedral, or the Duomo di Cervia, is the main church of the town, dedicated to Santa Maria Assunta. Located in the center of Cervia, about 15 km from Cesenatico, it boasts a striking neoclassical facade and a tall bell tower. Inside, visitors can admire frescoes, altarpieces, and a serene atmosphere. The cathedral was built in the 18th century after the old town of Cervia was moved inland due to flooding. Its interior is spacious and bright, with a single nave and side chapels. The artwork includes pieces from the 17th and 18th centuries. It remains an active place of worship, so visitors should be respectful during services.
