Punta Carena Lighthouse, also known as Faro di Punta Carena, stands on a rocky promontory at Capri's southwesternmost point. Built in 1867, the lighthouse is still active, guiding ships with its distinctive white and red tower. The surrounding area features a rocky coastline with crystal-clear waters, making it a favorite spot for swimming and sunbathing. A small beach club offers sunbeds and umbrellas, while the adjacent cliffs provide excellent diving platforms. The sunset views from here are spectacular, with the lighthouse silhouetted against the horizon. It's less crowded than the main beaches, offering a more relaxed atmosphere.

Don't miss

  • Swim in the clear waters of the cove below the lighthouse
  • Sunbathe on the rocky platforms or rent a lounger at the beach club
  • Watch the sunset with the lighthouse as a backdrop
  • Snorkel around the rocks to see marine life
