The Gardens of Augustus (Giardini di Augusto) are a series of beautifully landscaped terraces on the cliffs of Capri, offering some of the most iconic views on the island. Created in the early 20th century by German industrialist Friedrich Alfred Krupp, the gardens are a peaceful oasis filled with colorful flowers, Mediterranean plants, and winding paths. The highlight is the panoramic vista of the Faraglioni rock formations rising from the sea, the Bay of Marina Piccola, and the rugged coastline. Benches are scattered throughout, perfect for soaking in the scenery. The gardens are small but meticulously maintained, making them a popular spot for photographers and nature lovers. The adjacent Via Krupp, a historic switchback path, descends to Marina Piccola but is often closed for restoration.
