Brindisi Cathedral, officially the Cathedral of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary and St. John the Baptist, is the main religious site in Brindisi. Built in the 11th–12th centuries in Romanesque style, it features a simple yet imposing facade with a rose window. Inside, the nave is flanked by granite columns from ancient Roman buildings. The highlight is the crypt, which houses a 12th-century Byzantine mosaic floor and the relics of the city's patron saints. The cathedral is part of the Archdiocese of Brindisi-Ostuni and remains an active place of worship. Its location on the main square makes it a natural stop on any walking tour.
