Sacro Monte di Ossuccio is a serene religious complex perched on a hillside overlooking Lake Como. Part of a series of nine Sacri Monti in northern Italy, it was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2003. The site features 14 chapels, each depicting a Mystery of the Rosary, adorned with elaborate frescoes and statues. The chapels are set along a picturesque path through olive groves and woodland, leading to the Sanctuary of the Madonna del Soccorso at the top. Visitors can enjoy a peaceful walk while admiring the artistry and spiritual atmosphere. The views of the lake from the sanctuary are stunning, making it a rewarding destination for both pilgrims and tourists.
