The Cervignano–Aquileia–Grado railway station serves as the main gateway for visitors arriving by train to Aquileia and the surrounding area. Located in Cervignano del Friuli, about 8 km from Aquileia, the station is a junction on the Udine–Trieste line, with a branch line to Grado. The station building is functional and unassuming, but its importance lies in connectivity: travelers can catch regional trains to Udine, Trieste, and Venice, as well as a dedicated shuttle bus or taxi to Aquileia's archaeological sites. For those heading to the seaside resort of Grado, the station offers a direct train service during summer. While not a tourist attraction itself, the station is a practical starting point for exploring the region's Roman ruins, lagoons, and coastal towns.

Don't miss

  • Catch regional trains to Udine, Trieste, or Venice
  • Take the shuttle bus or taxi to Aquileia's archaeological zone
  • Board the direct train to Grado beach (seasonal)
  • Observe the station's early 20th-century architecture
