Ramat Yotam Caldera is a large volcanic crater located in the Arava Valley, about 30 kilometers north of Eilat. Formed by ancient volcanic activity, the caldera features a flat basin surrounded by colorful rock layers and eroded cliffs. Visitors can drive to viewpoints that overlook the vast desert landscape, with the Edom Mountains of Jordan visible in the distance. The area is of great geological interest, with exposed basalt and sedimentary rocks. It's a quiet spot for photography, stargazing, and appreciating the region's natural history.
