Mungret Abbey

Mungret Abbey is a serene medieval ruin located just a few kilometers southwest of Limerick city. The site features the remains of a monastic settlement founded in the 6th century, with a striking 30-meter round tower that dominates the landscape. The abbey church, with its Gothic windows and stone walls, stands roofless but evocative, surrounded by a graveyard still in use.
