Torc Waterfall

Sight

Torc Waterfall is one of Killarney's most photographed natural attractions, plunging 20 meters over a rocky cliff into the Owengarriff River. Located just a short walk from the Ring of Kerry road, it offers an easy and rewarding stop for travelers. The waterfall is at its most dramatic after heavy rain, when the cascade swells to a thunderous roar. A well-maintained path leads from the car park through ancient oak and rhododendron woods, crossing a stone bridge for a perfect view of the falls. Visitors can also climb the steep steps to the top for a different perspective and a glimpse of the river's upper course. The surrounding Killarney National Park is home to red deer and native woodlands, making the walk as memorable as the waterfall itself.

Don't miss

  • View the 20-meter cascade from the stone bridge
  • Climb the steps to the top for a different perspective
