Al-Hannanah Mosque in Najaf is a significant Shia pilgrimage site, traditionally believed to be the place where Imam Ali's body was washed and his funeral prayer performed. The mosque is also said to have sheltered Imam Ali during his lifetime. Its architecture is modest compared to the grand shrine, featuring a brick facade, a single dome, and a peaceful courtyard.
