Milad Tower is a 435-meter multi-purpose tower in Tehran, Iran. It is the tallest tower in Iran and the sixth-tallest telecommunication tower in the world. The tower is part of the International Trade and Convention Center of Tehran, which also includes a five-star hotel, a convention center, a world trade center, and an IT park. From the tower, you can see almost everywhere in Tehran.

A bit of history

The tower was part of the Shahestan Pahlavi project, a vast development for a new government and commercial center for Tehran designed in the 1970s. Construction began in 1997 and was completed in 2007. It was renamed Milad Tower in 2001 on the occasion of the 100th birthday of Ruhollah Khomeini. The tower was inaugurated on 7 October 2008 with the slogan 'The sky is near.'
