The Shah Mosque, also known as the Imam Mosque, is a crowning achievement of Safavid architecture, built in the early 17th century. Its grand iwan and towering minarets frame the entrance, while inside, the dome is covered in intricate floral and geometric tilework in shades of blue, turquoise, and gold. Visitors can stand beneath the dome to experience its remarkable acoustics and admire the mihrab's detailed mosaics. The mosque's alignment with the square creates a visual axis that draws the eye.
