Susiana is an ancient region in Khuzestan Province, near Ahvaz, that was once the heart of the Elamite civilization. The area contains several archaeological sites, most notably Chogha Zanbil, a massive ziggurat built around 1250 BCE. Visitors can explore the ruins of temples, palaces, and city walls that date back millennia. The site offers a glimpse into one of the world's oldest civilizations, with baked brick structures still standing. It's a UNESCO World Heritage site and a must-see for history enthusiasts.
