Maimun Palace

Maimun Palace is the royal palace of the Sultanate of Deli, a surviving royal landmark in Medan, North Sumatra. Its name comes from the Arabic word for 'blessing.' The palace was built between 1887 and 1891 by Sultan Ma'mun Al Rashid Perkasa Alamsyah and designed by Dutch architect Theodoor van Erp. It covers 2,772 square meters and contains 30 rooms. Its interior blends Malay, Islamic, and Indian architectural styles with Spanish and Italian furnishings.
