The Suramadu Bridge is a landmark cable-stayed bridge that stretches 5.4 kilometers across the Madura Strait, connecting Surabaya on Java to Bangkalan on Madura Island. As the longest bridge in Indonesia, it features two striking towers and a dual carriageway. Driving or riding across the bridge offers expansive views of the coastline, fishing boats, and the distant skyline of Surabaya. The bridge is not only a vital transportation link but also a popular spot for photography, especially at sunrise or sunset when the light reflects off the water.

Don't miss

  • Drive or bike across the bridge to experience its full length and admire the engineering of its towering cable-stayed pylons.
  • Stop at the designated viewing areas on either end for panoramic photo opportunities of the strait and city skyline.
  • Visit the Madura side to explore local markets and sample authentic Madurese cuisine like sate lalat.
