Sanur is a relaxed beach resort area on Bali's southeast coast, known for its long beachfront promenade that's perfect for morning jogs or sunset strolls. The calm, shallow waters make it ideal for swimming, kayaking, and stand-up paddleboarding. Unlike the busy south, Sanur retains a quieter, more traditional vibe with warungs (local eateries) and boutique hotels lining the shore. Visitors can cycle along the path, watch outrigger boats, or explore nearby temples and markets.

Don't miss

  • Walk or bike the 5-km beachfront promenade from Sindhu to Mertasari
  • Try water sports like kayaking, windsurfing, or parasailing on the calm sea
  • Visit Pura Blanjong temple to see a 10th-century inscription pillar
