Lal Bagh

Lal Bagh, meaning 'Red Garden,' is a sprawling botanical paradise in the heart of Bengaluru. Established in the 18th century by Hyder Ali and later expanded by his son Tipu Sultan, it spans 240 acres of meticulously landscaped lawns, flowerbeds, and rare trees. The centerpiece is a magnificent glasshouse inspired by London's Crystal Palace, hosting biannual flower shows. Visitors can also marvel at a 2000-year-old granite rock formation, one of the oldest on Earth. Strolling through the garden offers a serene escape from the city's bustle, with opportunities to explore a lake, a bonsai garden, and several historic structures.
