The Undavalli Caves are ancient rock-cut cave temples carved out of sandstone hills, dating from the 4th to 5th centuries AD. Located about 6 km from Vijayawada, these caves are notable for their monolithic sculptures, particularly a large reclining statue of Lord Vishnu in the main cave. Visitors can explore multiple levels of chambers adorned with intricate carvings of deities, animals, and floral motifs. The caves offer a glimpse into the architectural and artistic achievements of the Vishnukundina dynasty.
