The Vikramaditya Statue is a prominent landmark in Ujjain, erected at the busy Vikramaditya Chowk. It depicts the mythical king seated on a horse, sword raised, embodying justice and valor. Vikramaditya is central to Ujjain's identity, the city is named after him (Ujjain was called Avanti, his capital). The statue, unveiled in the 2000s, is a popular meeting point and photo spot. Surrounded by traffic and markets, it offers a dynamic urban experience. At night, the statue is illuminated, creating a striking silhouette against the city lights.
