The Sri Venkateswara Temple, also known as Tirumala Temple, is one of the most visited religious sites in the world. Devotees climb the hills or take the free transport to reach the temple, where they wait for hours to glimpse the deity. The temple's Dravidian architecture, with its towering gopuram and gold-plated vimana, is awe-inspiring. Inside, the main sanctum houses the self-manifested idol of Lord Venkateswara, adorned with precious jewels. The atmosphere is charged with devotion, as chants and bells fill the air. Visitors also partake in the ritual of tonsuring hair as an offering.
