The Padmavati Temple, located in Tiruchanur, about 5 km from Tirupati, is a significant pilgrimage site dedicated to Goddess Padmavati. According to legend, she is the daughter of the king of the underworld and the wife of Lord Venkateswara. The temple features a five-tiered gopuram and a sanctum where the goddess is depicted in a standing posture. Devotees, especially couples, visit to pray for prosperity and happy marriages. The temple tank, 'Padma Sarovaram,' is considered holy. The atmosphere is peaceful, with fewer crowds than Tirumala, making it a serene spiritual experience.
